Kendra Farmer

Kendra is the daughter of the late Mr Farmer, who was a strong community leader, Shire Councillor and businessman. Kendra began painting in 1998 learning from her Mother-in-Law. She also learned the skills of making artefacts using traditional punmu designs. Kendra’s paintings often depict images of bush tucker or dreamtime stories.

Kendra explores different painting styles and likes to add contemporary twists to her traditional representations. She tends to paint the landscape and is fond of the wildflowers and their beautiful bright colours.

Although Kendra is involved in the Wiluna Rangers program, she strives to further establish herself as an artist, like her grandmother. She is actively involved in seeking professional development opportunities by entering into the Revealed 2019 Fremantle exhibition.
