This painting depicts the landscape of how you can view country from afar. Surviving from rock hole to rock hole for their families and themselves. It was very important that when they would leave one rock hole to wash their face with the water or drink from it before departing. The artist explains in her own words that around the country there would be water sources that are precious and culturally significant places and Rock holes, soaks and springs that are highly valued landmarks. These wetlands provide refuge and habitat for aquatic flora and fauna and are valued resting areas for migratory birds.
