It’s a Dreamtime Story, it’s where the Dingo had her pups.
After she had all the little ones, when they were strong enough and ready to walk, they went digging and she made a little gnura (home) for them.
When she got up and walked, she left one puppy behind. They travelled right up through the crossing to the claypan. They kept going through that lake. On the other side of the lake they travelled through to the ngulu (scary) place on the other side.
They went on and came to another place where two of them did a gumpu (wee) on the side. One was good water and one was salty water. They kept going right up to that yupo (hill), the white hill on the side of the road “Yirrawarra”. That’s the hill where the Dingo has been crying since she lost her pup.
Mum told us this story which we always ask her – she told us about the Dingo Dreaming.
