Description
The story of the Rabbit Proof Fence is true, describing the determination of three young aboriginal girls, Molly, Daisy, and Gracie, who in 1931 were forcibly separated from their mothers in Jigalong, Western Australia, by government authorities. They were sent to the Moore River settlement, 2,000 kilometres from their home, to be trained as domestic servants for the white community there. They escaped, fleeing across the harsh desert landscape, with the rabbit-proof fence as their only guide to return home.
